After further research, I conclude that the data transferred between the 
two hosts involved in the large data exchange were not accounted for at 
all. It is as if this transfer has been excluded from the TopN report 
(together with other exchanges between other hosts?)

The transfer has taken place from one VLAN to another VLAN. Both are 
(dot1q) subinterfaces on the same physical Port-channel.

Any ideas?
