Hello,

On a constructive note, to address some people's concerns over DCVS
induced anarchy, I think using a DCVS may help *reduce* the pressure
on some of the project's core commiters.

For example, consider this workflow:
Because it is so easy to pull between repos, a core commiter could
choose a couple of trusted "lieutenants" who could merge pull requests
into their repositories, and do a little quality control on the
commits. Then, the core committer could pull from these satellite
repos, knowing that the quality of these commits will be high.

Both bitbucket and github could support this workflow, which is not
possible with centralized system.

Cheers,
Jorge
