3.1.0 is not the end of the world. AFIK, and here Julian can correct me, there aren't BIG news even in Hibernate. We could do some improvement to avoid mappings but I would avoid... well... too long... btw there are various products (OSS and retail)
If we have to wait before NH4 we can release a new <"build">/minor version each 2 moths (it could be a problem for some framework based on NH but... it's the life we choose). Perhaps is the time to improve NH's ecosystem: - NHibernate.Validator - NHibernate.Search - NHibernate.Spatial - NHibernate.Envers - FluentNHibernate and so on.... including ConfORM because I'm not completely conform with it (my wife say: "eres un insadisfecho de mierda!!")
