The main difference should be in the proxy instantiation/interception. You can check it storing 100 entities, session.Load on each, initialize each accessing to a property different then Id. The difference between the two times (note: two different runs from scratch) should be due to proxy stuff. I don't think that you will see a BIG difference.
There are others advantages from use static-proxy, so, if you don't see a big time-difference, don't worry.
