Sadly, based on the sparse number of developers I see raise their hands in
user groups/code camps when asked "have you heard of NuGet?", I suspect that
prediction is greatly inflated. Outside of devs actively doing ASP.NET MVC,
NuGet is still very much an unknown. Until some team in MS *other* than the
ASP.NET team (really, other than the ASP.NET *MVC* team) starts to actively
leverage NuGet, its likely to remain a 'fringe' technology/tool in re:
adoption.

FWIW, I do hope you're right and I'm wrong, but that's what I'm seeing "on
the ground" at most user groups/code-camps. And user group/codecamp
attendees are *already* a self-selecting sample of people demonstrably
interested enough in their field and new technology to seek out/try new
things. I suspect that the "great unwashed masses of .NET devs" that don't
attend such things (probably 90+% of .NET devs) are even *less* likely to
"get" NuGet.

Time will tell, of course (and I'd love to be proven wrong, but that's what
I'm seeing thus far from my POV).
