All,

Just looking for some advice really.

I have a set of data that I wish to page through the on the client. I
know I can do this with a criteria SetFirst and SetMax results to get
the data for the page I need. However, my data can be constantly
updated so as I page backward and forwards getting the data each time
the paging can regularly change and not be consistent as a page is
returned to.

I've been asked to work on a snapshot of data but I'm trying to make
this as simple as possible for the application so have considered
this:

* Use a Named Query to use a SQL Server stored procedure.
* Procedure accepts a unique session id and a refresh option. The
stored procedure will update a snapshot table with the current data if
the refresh option is set
* The Named query will use standard NH paging techniques to work
through the snapshot. Thus I do not need special mapping files for the
snapshot table

I hope there is an easier way than this - I really want to do it
within NH if possible and I don't really want to resort to stored
procedures as this ties me to SQL Server but any advice or suggestions
(including SQL Server only options) will be welcome

Thanks
