I have a scenatio when messages sent to my data access service have parameters which require generating dynamic SQL. Recently I started use Hibernate so I am new in it. The first problem which I faced is how to configure following: I have Master entity which has list of Detail entities, which represents similar one to many relation in a database. I want to be able optionaly request list of Detail entiries from my Hibernate session and pass Master entity to a client application with or without nested collection repending on a property of the request.
I realize that few different server methods could be created to handle different cases, but I would like to avoid that path because Master entity may contain few nested collections, loaded optionaly in different combinations. I am sure such great tool like Hibernate should have a solution, I just can't see it.
