Hi, I have a class hierarchy with a base class and 4 subclasses mapped with table-per-subclass. I would like to use criteria to restrict my results by the subtype but while still doing a single query i.e. return all the animals of type dog and cat (excluding horse) with the name fluffy.
Can someone point me in the right direction on how to do this. I have read about the class meta-property in HQL but I can't see how to do the same in criteria. This is necessary for me as my users can restrict the search results based on the type of items returned. Links to blogs/tutorials would be most appreciated, it seems like there is very limited documentation on this topic.
