Is it possible to map a class hierarchy such that the base class and
its nearest children are persisted using table-per-subclass mapping
whilst further down the tree, some of the grandchildren are mapped
using single-table-inheritance?
E.g.:
Animal
- Python
- Barracuda
- Mammal
- Human
- Elephant
where tables exist for Animal, Python, Barracuda & Mammal and the
Mammal table has a Type column containing "Human" and "Elephant" as
possible values.
