Hi all, The continuing adventures, Today the 450 started up slow this morning as usual but I'll give it the benefit of the doubt cause it was 35F when I left for work. But after it warmed up it still was running rough so my first order of business when I got home was to change the air filter that came a week or so a go - a filter that hadn't been changed by the guy who worked on it before I bought it I found out! Hopefully the fact that it was sucking dirt was the major problem. If not that, what's the next thing I should checkchange/added? Spark plugs? Add a little carb cleaner? One by one I'll change stuff out till it runs good or I'll have to take it to a shop to get it figured out.
Then at lunch today as I was riding down the highway I noticed that the clutch side grip was sliding off. Well I am glad it was that one that came loose and not the throttle side. And I was thinking of getting grips with more cush anyway. My manager at work came out to see the 450 today. First time since I've been working away from the office so much. He really liked it. He rides a 750 (but I cant' remember what manufacturer or model). His wife went from a 250 Marauder to a 650 but doesn't like it cause it's too big and she found out fast there isn't much out there available between a 250 and a 600 unless you go for bikes from the 70's and early 80's!! So he figured she'd really like mine. Happy riding!
