The gas tank on the ordinary CB750 is shorter. Those are Jardine pipes or worse
yet, an imitation of them. The original 4>1 fit quite nicely and had a huge
muffler on one side. I rode one of those to 135MPH once. Hope you can find some
file pix of it when new. I don't have any at work. With some effort, you can
make a decent rider out that. How many miles ? I can supply all spec for it.
Nothing hard about any job on one of those. Clean carbs on the bike. Adjustable
tappets, points ignition, chain drive, cable operated clutch... your basic
motorcycle. In the trade, we separated the 750 SS by F1: single front brake,
F2: double disc, F3: twin cam ('79 on) Have a go at it.

How can I tell? Is it in the VIN code? A 4-in one
wouldn't seem to make much sense on this bike considering the placement of the
spark plugs and the fact that there is no room for a 4-in-one that I can
see....hmm....I will need to pull up some old stock photos now. You got me
curious. HotrodMamma.( I'll be sure to set the points too.)

That's a 750F1 and had a 4>1 exhaust originally.
Probably VERY yellow too. Crank up the "way-back" machine, it has
points
ignition. I'll help with whatever, those are old friends.

Here is that '72 CB 750 that was in my
shed. Kick start AND electric starter. 2 in-ones on both sides. Bob
and I worked it over some today...lubed everything, chain grease,
checked the plugs and wires. Tomorrow I plan on removing the tank and
cleaning the fuel system. I'll let you know how it goes.
HotrodMamma.
