Graham, I have several comments: (1) I'm glad you are OK. (2) My blessings to that couple that help you. Those are the kind of people that stop me from my occasional desires to destroy the world. (3) Hell of a story.
(4) I've been attached by a bee too. In my case, it stung me in my chest while I was driving. I first thought it was a rock, then because of the burning sensation I thought it was like a cigarette somebody throw out of a car. Anyway, I'm not allergic, but your story makes me think, (i) Bees attacks are probably more often (or possibles?) than what we think (ii) Is there any medication that you can carry on in case this happens again?
