They aren't hard to adjust. I think Kyle has done it and posted it on his site. 
At any rate, you have to remove it and clean the contact surface and fidgit 
around bending the arm to calibrate it. First clean it and see if that doesn't 
do it.

I've got two 770SC's and the gas meter on one of them hits 
zero at 25 miles or so.  The other one is better and doesn't hit zero until 
about 80 miles.  I just consider 100 miles to be fill up 
time.

It's the same on my 
  700S.  It reads full, until about 30-35 miles, then it reads empty.  
  I just reset my trip odo every fill up, and use that as a 
  gauge.
