If you "cleaned" the carbs, did you separate them from the runner to do that ? Sounds like the linkage is a... a.. messed up.

To: "Nighthawk Motorcycle Lovers!" <[email protected]> Date: Wednesday, June 24, 2009, 6:15 PM okay, so i went outside in this scorching heat...and tried to adjust the idle speed... i 'think' i got the rpm's to go up about 3-500 RPM's to a grand total of 1000 rpm's with the choke OPEN...but... however, i don't think it's going to be as easy as turning the adjustment screw...it seems the screw is not raising or lowering anything, regardless of how much i turn it clockwise or counter- clockwise...actually it feels a little loose/wobbly...so my question now is.. is it possible for the idle speed adjustment screw to come out of it's housing? and if so, how can i get it back into it's housing? also, i bought a a clear in-line filter, that i'll probably install this evening after church...but i don't really think it's a fuel flow problem, since it does start and runs pretty good with the choke open and giving it some throttle... so fellow Nighthawk Lovers....what do y'all think? thanks again! -NghthwkLvr- --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Nighthawk Motorcycle Lovers!" group.
