Back in '66, I first did a lean into a turn and spun on the footpeg.  I was
bangin a "u" to stop and see a lovely lady friend who had waved to me, and it
almost spit me off.  I was goin' slow, though, so nothing serious to me or my
bike; just the ball on the end of the lever had a flat spot after that.
And, we made a date to go to a flick...
My wife, however, experienced the hand-shakin' turn when she had to take the
curve real wide because some oncoming cage took his half out of the middle.
She saw her hand real close to the asphalt, felt the peg scraping, and when she
came up out of the turn she said she had to pry her fingers loose from the
grip.  She didn't realize the tires would hold at such a steep angle.
And I remember when I thought the same...
Now they pivot (the footpegs...).

maybe he meant"squid-(verb)- one who doesn't posess the skills
necessary to operate his bike to its full potential.
you know, the kid on the sportbike with a giant flat spot in the
middle of his back tire, or the old fart on the 5 year old cruiser
with only 1500 miles on it. or pretty much anyone who has never taken
a curve so fast their hands were shaking afterward.
