I did it in the dirt/gravel on my Honda 50 step-thru once, racing a dude with a 
90 (he wouldn't take no for an answer and gave me a head start; never caught 
up), and then again riding on a dirt road with my 90.   Again, once.  It was 
scary, but I was "motivated" to win against someone who out-powered me in both 
instances.

There were two brothers that rode in AMA road racing that did that all the 
time. Floored me the first time I saw the one come down off the banking at 
Daytona with both wheels sliding. Like nothing to it...
