I always avoid topics like this......

Wars are fought because of religion - the men in the trenches get
spiritual when faced by the war caused by religion.....  Try being
raised Irish Catholic, married to a Japanese Buddhist and having two
bible thumping born again christian ministers for brothers (who pray
for me every day) - I'm very convinced that it's about what works for
you.

My kids go to church (christian) with me but consider themselves
Buddhist.  They have found a balance that works for them - which is
all that matters.
