Trusting someone else to change your oil is potentially fatal to your engine. My wife, back when I was recuperating from a serious bicycle accident, allowed her roommate (long story - I was laid up, she needed to be close to work so rented apt.; house was like 13 miles away and no car - another story) to get oil changed at WallyWorld. They left drain plug loose and oil leaked out and it threw a rod. I have always changed the oil myself on all my machines. It's easy to do, saves you money, and maybe time also because you never really have to wait in line. Thay way you are assured of the job being done properly and if not you only have yourself to blame. Stanley

Free or not, he told you that the filter isn't replaceable because he was either too lazy to do it or too dumb to know.
