Might be time for a little fabrication. Like measure the wire diameter and try to re-use the cable covering and original fittings on either end.
Just guessing, but would think same diameter guitar string or piano wire might work, or something similar from a hardware supply house. McMaster-Carr industrial supply (google for url) has thousands of oddment fasteners.
