I would take that advice even further. I don't pretend I'm invisible,
instead I pretend the cars can see me but are actively trying to run me
over. Always always ride defensive, analyze all the traffic, and try to
predict just how that car is going to try kill you. Remember, they all want
to kill you! Apart from that motorcycling is great fun ;)
