I've found some light fingerless Dickies gloves for summer. The palms are still reinforced leather and a little bit padded and there's leather across the knuckles but the rest some sort of fabric and lets the breeze through. I've taken one or two pebbles to the knuckles at 60mph and won't ride without them.
