I'm still a learner so I appreciate a refresher on oil now and then and, as was the case this time, there are updates, new info and changes of opinion. I can see the benefit of Amsoil and will put it in at least one of my keeper bikes at the next oil change, Graham

I think this needs to be stickied as a warning as for how an oil
thread should not go.

This is the proper response to any oil related question:  "There is a
pile of information and opinions out there.  Do what everyone else
does; read 2 paragraphs of it, form your own opinion and then start
telling other people what to think."
