Matt,

I've had the Spitfire for about 2.5 years.  I'm 6'4" and ride a 96
750.  My head is way over the top of the Spitfire.  The buffeting, if
there is any, doesn't bother me.  It's windy almost every day here and
I typically have a strong headwind on the way home.

If you do have a problem you can adjust the windshield's position.
I've noticed that the more upright it is the less the wind noise.
