You could do what I did with my 550 Four, back in '70, when the stock mufflers
were rusted out when I bought it: - I welded resonators from a Beetle stock
exhaust on the ends of the pipes - two resonators per, to sort of simulate
the back pressure of the stock mufflers
They were quiet enough and immensely cheaper than a new stock exhaust that
would
have rusted out again,  in another four months ($200.00 back in '71!)  The
resonators were $1.00 apiece, and fit right up with the exhaust.  They were
still intact and on the bike when I sold it at the end of my tour of duty in
Puerto Rico.

depending on where it was cut yes... I think the pipes have a diffrent bend and
mounting... Could weld the cones on... Or any aftermarket slip on muffler... I
had the same isues with my 99 250...

Son bought 2001 nighthawk 250.  Previous ownner cut off mufflers
because he wanted "louder" bike.  Bike now running just a little
lean.  Cannot find aftermarket pipes for Nighthawk, and oem cost as
much as what we paid for bike.  Will 250 rebel Exhaust work?
