I'm thinking more along the spiritual lines of stereotypical
Irishness:

Impracticality, child-like sense of fun, hopeless romanticism,
unabashed sentimentality, poetic justice, bawdy ballads, tall tales,
limericks, willingness to get drunk and fight, or get drunk and cry in
your beer...or just unrestrained general rowdiness.

All humanity has those tendencies below the surface. The Irish are
just more open and honest about them. Not to mention footloose, which
is how much of the world came to be part-Irish.

And the rest Irish in spirit...one day a year, anyway (!)
