Something I've being meaning to propose for a while is the creation of a How-to section in this forum. I am also a member of a cbr forum, and among a lot (really, a lot) of stuff they have, they have a special section for How-to documents. You might think it is redundant, since this is kind of what we do in general with this group, but the difference is that they have a set of rules for the creation of a how-to. Stuff like it needs to have pictures (but not tons of them), it need to follow certain standards, etc. This also mean that there are not two how-to's of the same subject, and somehow every new how-to needs to pass a revision process. I think Allen's documents are probably pretty close to this idea, and perhaps we should give it the right structure, so these documents can be posted in the group's page or in Paul's page or somewhere else.
I believe there could be how-to's for very simple tasks, such as oil change, all the way up. We could agree in our own set of rules for the creation of a how-to document. I think doing so we could be more effective in the organization and preservation of the information and knowledge this group produces. Javier.
