Well, after changing the oil twice and taking the clutch plates out to check
them within specs, and checking the springs within specs, the clutch still
slipped in every gear! In a flash of brilliance, I decided to see if there
was any pressure in the hydraulic clutch system when "hands off" the clutch
lever. I opened the hydraulic clutch bleeder at the engine side and out
squirted a small amount of hyd fluid. Immediately closed it and tried the
clutch operation. NO clutch slip, proper amount of free play in the lever,
works fine! Problem solved...

How the pressure built up in the hydraulic clutch system, I don't know, but
if I get clutch slip again, the bleeder valve is the first thing I'll try.
