There were CBX's that I knew of, both very rare.
The CBX -6 cyclinder 1978-1981.
My friends dad had one the was load down with a faring, saddle bags,
etc.
It had double chain from the factory.
Wheelies were easy on this bike because of the torque.
Now for the other CBX- CBX550 turbo - one year 1982, I was issued to
a deal of that year.
My friend still owns this one, He bought brand new in 1991 from the
dealer, after a lot of begging.
The CBX turbo will smoke any 750 or under, and will keep up to a 1000.
I took the turbo and the CBX 6 cyclinder for a ride. Both are very
impression in there class.
If I had the money, I would seek these bikes out and buy both of them.
But, I am a poor college stundent with a 1993 750 Nighthawk that
barter for.
I work on a farm for 20 hours, and tutor thier grandson in math (I am
a laid off math teacher).
The bike need work to get it running. IT still does need work. As I
get the money I put into the bike.
I drive an average of 880 mile per week on it between work and
college.
This forum is about nighthawks. Therefore. that is my story about
mine.
