I have cleaned the carbs on my 82 CB450SC, and they now work great. I hope
to get > 50MPG on the next tankful! Mine are Keihin carbs, downdraft with
slides. Issues were just the tiny holes were blocked so it would not idle
properly. I soaked them in carb cleaner from NAPA after removing the rubber
parts carefully, keeping both sides separated. Then blow it out with air and
carb cleaner. Check for fuel filter or clean fuel, so tha t you may need to
add a fuel filter if tank is old and has rust. Thats about it.
