Welcome to the group. A quick way to determine that is to use a parts fiche lookup from a supplier that uses Honda factory part numbers as its own in-house stock numbers. Service Honda is one such.
It's shows '82 carbs as discontinued, and '83 as having a different part number than the '82. So it's safe to assume a different carb was used 83-85.
