Been trying to get to the bike all week. Finally tonight.
Beverages were drank, carbs were cleaned.
Intake tube things have been cleaned and siliconed. All parts are
awaiting install tomorrow after my job interview.
Last night I bead blasted the bottom edge of my tank and then
soldered up the holes. (when using flame on a tank please please do
something to prevent gas fumes from reaching LEL.)
This worked exceptionally well. Lots of solder paste, easy on the
heat, buff smooth with a 90 deg die grinder and scotch bright wheel.
Unfortunately I didn't have a camera at the shop last night so I have
no during pics but I'll get some after pics tomorrow.
With luck I'll have a running bike tomorrow afternoon. If so, I'll go
get a new batt and starter solenoid and go riding. My riding
partner/teacher/best friend stopped by tonight hoping to go for a
ride, instead we cleaned carbs ;o) As of today I can take my
Motorcycle skills Assessment test. The second step of my learners.
Until I pass that I have to ride under the observation of an
experienced licensed rider, under 50kmh, and daylight only. Once I
pass the parking lot test, My only restriction until I pass my road
test is I can't have a passenger.
Bike costs still at $300.40 ;o) 400 ish tomorrow.

Some people try to turn back their odometers. Not me, I want people
to know "why" I look this way. I've traveled a long way and some of
the roads weren't paved.
