Take the headlight bucket and horns off. It'd be good idea to take the
fuseblock off to clean it and check that all the wiring harness plugs are
tight. Pay particular attention to the red/black wires at the top left as
they're known to come loose enough to arc and melt the plastic on that model
bike. You may also need to look into a service manual to get at a wiring
diagram.
It's much much better to take the time and fix the problem the right way
rather than wasting time with any battery powered lights.
