Stuck slide finally conquered. I had to apply a little leverage, in the form of a bit of hardwood dowel, to get it to "break" free. Lots of corrosion around the bottom, but no pitting on the slide itself. Looks like someone tried to use a screwdriver on it for leverage before, there are some scratches on the bottom. I'll sand that.
Still sitting in the bath, to clean up that corrosion. This weekend I'll probably try to take the butterfly out.
