I think Clemson is starting to suffer from some serious "heat island" effects. We've had lots of new development going on.
Our "official" high today was 89. CUWS reported 93, but they aren't a USGS weather station so it's not the official number. Either way, too bloody hot to be stuck in a rolling fish tank for 11 hours with spotty AC. Argh! Would much rather have been on the bike. I think you're right, though. We're going to go back to the /brutal/ summers I remember as a kid. We almost didn't have summer last year (Only TWO days in the triple digits. Two. TWO.), but I think we'll make up for it this year. -Kurt On Thu, Mar 15, 2012 at 11:04 PM, Bill Sandifer <[email protected]>wrote: > When Clemson is that much hotter than Raleigh, things are topsy-turvy. > Raleigh was 83 today; been here since 1981.
