When I had to pain the fender on the V-Star 650 I was riding I just went to the local Auto Parts store. They had Automotive quality rattle cans in lots of bright and even reflective colors (Yellow, Green and Orange). It was expensive comapired to the hardware store stuff but it worked really well. I used my drummel tool to grind everything down, used a really good rust stopper as a bottom coat and then just masked off and sprayed. I was really surprised at the finish if the rattle can and quality of the paint. Living in Hawaii I had to put rust stopper underneath - not rust-oleum, it doesn't work here.
