Change the fluids regularly use motor oil that's compatible with a bike's wet clutch. Keep the bike in a good state of maintenance, store it in a garage if possible, check tire pressure before each ride. If you have a chain drive lube frequently and clean/adjust with each oil change. Once a year go over the bike with a torque wrench to make sure nothing is vibrating loose. Put stabilizer in the gas if you won't ride it for more than 3 weeks. Get a battery tender as well. When winterizing put it on the center stand and block up the engine to get the front wheel off the ground. Take a motorcycle safety course, read some books like "proficient motorcycling" they will give you lots of tips on how to ride safe/well. Enjoy! Sent via BlackBerry by AT&T
