Thanks Allen. The rears don't bounce. I will do the other tests too! I was just wondering because there is quite a difference on the ST. I realized it is a smaller bike and will not be the same. I see all the discussions on shocks and was wondering. That must be why guys upgrade.

Press down and release, then slide the tie wrap down to the seal now lift and release the forks. If you have stiction it will show as a gap between the seal and the tie wrap. To test sag get a helper to hold the bike upright, and slide the tie wrap to the seal. Then sit on the bike, get off and measure the gap, that will let you know if your preload/fork springs are stiff enough. If your shocks are bad you'll know it because the rear will be bouncy. Yeah, it does. I hear good things about Goodridge, but so many of their lines aren't DOT evaluated/certified, and they definitely don't have the kit market as well buttoned up as Russell does/did.
