Let me add Bridgestone BT-45s to the good tires others have suggested for the NH750. Mine handle well, are relatively inexpensive, and are very confidence-inspiring in the rain. The jury's out on wear. I've only put about 3k miles on them but they have almost all tread depth left. Previously I had Avon AM-26 RoadRiders. They lasted about 13K miles, though in the last 2K or so, they got wobbly even though there was plenty of tread left.
