Those are rare as hen's teeth, but not necessary for the function of the bike. I've had one fly off and it took me over a year to find another one online. They go by on eBay from time to time, but you just have to be persistent. It's not uncommon to see them going for $25-$50 so I'd ask the dealer that broke your original one for $50 to cover it. Then sit back and just watch eBay from time to time.
