82 Honda CB450SC Kurt-yeah, cable looks fine and isn't dried up. I guess it might not be a bad place to start though. If I have to replace the the speedo, then I would want go ahead and get a new cable anyway. I had a couple of people (uncle-mechanic and neighbor-motorcycle mechanic) give me their opinion and both thought the head is bad.
