If the tank isn't dented you should be ok. I know the 80s bikes the tank is mounted on rubber grommets so a little wiggle is expected. Look at everything else on the left side though. Blinkers, shift lever, etc. If all that got messed up is the clutch lever you're lucky, those are relatively inexpensive.
