None that you'd notice, according to conventional wisdom. The 750 was embargoed from U.S. markets in '84-'86 due to political pressure from Harley Davidson, which was struggling to stay afloat at the time (the Japanese had done likewise to Harley in the thirties to protect their emerging motorcycle industry).
The embargo specified bikes with a displacement of 750 and larger. Honda got around it by tweaking the motor (lower displacement, increased stroke and maybe higher lift cams) to produce essentially the same performance, and imported it as the 700s in the U.S. only. The 750s continued to be produced for world markets other than the U.S. On Aug 22, 6:06 am, Shane Townsend <[email protected]> wrote: > Is there any difference performance wise between these two > motorcycles......... > > Shane -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Nighthawk Motorcycle Lovers!" group.
