Hi, I was up in Des Moines, IA and Kansas City, KS earlier this week. I was at my favorite drug dealer (Starbucks) in KC and saw an FJR in the parking lot. I stopped to look at it because the guy had covered it with lambs wool. As I was parked near it, the rider came out. I asked him about his seat. He told me that it was a piece of lambs wool carpet or something like that and that he had placed his Airhawk pad under it. I asked him about rain on it. He told me he just squeegies it with hands an it is dry. I thought that was neat. I need to recover my seat and I may do the same thing. I have an Air Hawk pad but have not been too fond of it so far. The few times I rode with in on the seat, I just didn't like it. Maybe i should install it again and play with the inflation some more. I wish I would have taken a picture of his bike.
By the way, I noticed there was no one riding on Monday when I was in Des Moines. Maybe it was because the temperature was 23oF with a 15 MPH NW wind. You think that was the reason??
