I would investigate the play. It could turn into a major wobble at speed.

hello all  last saturday i crashed my 750 which i did post some remarks about 
it here online this past week anyway tonight i was trying to install my new 
windsheild  lol dam thing and when i pulled on my handelbars to turn the front 
end back to the right i felt a little bit of play  where the handlebars attach 
to the front steering section should i be worried about this oh and has anyone 
ever replaced a windshiled  its a national cycle one it has two brackets to 
attach the sheild to and to the bike the clamps onsheild go on but when i 
attach to bile things dont line up right and the headlamp is little loose to 
not sure if im doing it correct any thoughts on this would be helpfull  thanks
