I have one in my garage that I resurrected, they are fun bikes but I would
look for a 83-85 and here is why. 82 is a one year bike, while the engine
is almost the same as a non nighthawk cb650, but the rest is different. And
the parts houses don't know what fits. Forks, brakes, etc are all unique.
Also the 83-85 has a shaft drive, a 6th gear, and doesn't require valve
adjustments. With all that said it is a fun bike and is a real joy to ride
at around 50-60mph faster than that and you will be looking for that 6th
gear. They handle well and have good brakes.
