One man's Cold is another's Kool. There is the group mentality but for
those that tough it out there is less frequent semi-obligatory 'biker
waving' cause nobody else is riding.
I have gone as cold as 15 F without wattage only because I did not have
any.
Got frozen on my first major ride the end of October a few years back doing
Route 66. How cold can Texas be for Chimney's Sake? Its Texas with cacti
and deserts and longhorns. It was real cold and found myself shivering all
of the way into New Mexico.
Was considering what to wear on a trip to Peru. That close to the equator,
how cold could it get? "In the mountains always bring along your winter
suit!" Best advice I ever received.
Glove liners are a great plus for those of us not electrically connected.
