My `83 NH550 never had charging problems and to date has only needed one battery replacement. HOWEVER, sadly, I borrowed my wife's heated jacket liner (Gerbings) for a fall ride to an appointment in Seattle and back, 120+ miles round trip. When I arrived at home the battery had so little UMPH that it would not start the bike the second time to get it into the garage. I was toasty on the way up and even warmer on the way back. I think I turned it up too high for the evening ride back home.
That was a sad revelation. Its a great bike, but the charging system is one of it limitations. -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Nighthawk Motorcycle Lovers!" group.
