That was my first concern, if these are rigid or if they crumble. If they're too rigid they could break your wrists. The idea is not bad though, with my mesh jacket I usually pop the sleeves up to catch the wind anyways. With my leather jacket I try to avoid that because otherwise it turns into a parachute and jerks me around.
