After almost one year I finally had some time to spend in the garage and
put back together my 96 NH 750. I can't remember what I did before I stored
it. Probably ran gas with a lot of Seafoam, then empty the bowls. The bike
spent a few months on a container shipping from Boston to Pasadena, and
then in my garage just as it came. I plugged to a tender just in case I
could save the battery.

I wasn't expecting much to happen today. Got new gas and fed it to the
carbs with a funnel. I cranked the started with the kill switch off a few
times to let the gas get into the carbs. Good news was that the battery was
healthy. Full choke on, switch on, hit the starter, and there she goes!
broom. Running pretty much ok, and warmed up fast enough that I had to put
off the choke after a few seconds. Clean it, put it together, new gas in
the tank with almost a whole bottle of Seafoam, check tire pressure, etc,
and took it for her first ride in the West.

It pretty much runs great, although pulling from a stop feels rough and
like she wants to die. On the highway no problems doing 80+ mph. Climbed
the nearby mountains no problem. Once it was hot, it will take many tried
to start. It won't start with any choke, and it probably does better with a
bit of throttle. Anyway, I was prepared for a full carbs rebuild, but it
looks like I can get away by just running a few more tanks with Seafoam. We
will see.

This might be the nicest bike in the word.

Javier.
