Good day all, so, last night when I came in through the garage very strong gasoline smell hit the nose hard and upon looking at the bike....I found the problem....
Behind the knob that turns fuel from On-Reserve-Off, one of the 2 small screws that hold the small cover, has been replaced by the PO, with a damned wood screw!!! The screw stripped the threads and was holding absolutely nothing....bike's been setting for weeks now, so what made it work it's way out yesterday, is beyond me.... Hoping some one here has one they can spare reasonably priced? If not, re-tapping the hole & trying to find a small enough screw, yet, not too big, looks like it's not going to be an easy feat, nor very fun :( located on southern-western Virginia -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Nighthawk Motorcycle Lovers!" group.
